How to Swap One Token for Another

Follow these steps to exchange one cryptocurrency token for a different token:

1. Open the Swap interface: Navigate to your Portfolio Balance section and click the "Swap" button to open the token swap interface.
2. Choose which token to swap from: In the "You Pay" field, enter the amount of cryptocurrency you want to swap. Click the dropdown menu next to the amount to select which token type you're swapping from (for example, selecting FLOW means you're converting FLOW tokens into another token).
3. Choose which token to receive: Click the dropdown menu in the "Min. Swap Output" section (or "Swap to" section) to select which token type you want to receive in exchange (for example, selecting PYUSD means you'll receive PYUSD tokens in exchange for your FLOW tokens).
4. Review transaction details: Before proceeding, review the transaction information displayed on screen:
   • Best Price: The current exchange rate between the two tokens
   • Convenience fee: Any fees charged for the swap
   • Minimum Swap Output: The minimum amount of the new token you'll receive after the swap completes
5. Confirm the swap: Click the "Continue" button to proceed to the confirmation screen. Review the swap details showing the exact amount you're swapping and the minimum amount you'll receive. Click "Confirm Transaction" to process the token swap.
6. Wait for completion: A confirmation screen will appear after you confirm the transaction. The swapped tokens will appear in your account's Portfolio Breakdown within approximately one minute.

Understanding Minimum Swap Output

The "Minimum Swap Output" shows the minimum amount of the new token you'll receive from the swap. This minimum amount protects you from receiving less than expected if the exchange rate changes slightly while the transaction processes. The actual amount you receive may be equal to or slightly higher than the minimum shown.
