How to Enter and Exit Funds from Yield Vaults

What are Yield Vaults?

Yield Vaults are investment strategies within Peak Money that allow you to earn interest on your deposited funds. Each Yield Vault may offer different interest rates and investment approaches. To use a Yield Vault, you must first transfer funds from your main Peak Money wallet into your chosen vault.

Entering/Depositing Funds into a Yield Vault

To deposit funds into a Yield Vault and start earning interest, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure you have funds available in your main wallet. Before depositing into a Yield Vault, verify that you have funds in your main Peak Money wallet. Your main Peak Money wallet is your primary balance that holds funds before they're allocated to specific strategies.   2. Select your desired Yield Vault. From your Peak Money dashboard, locate and click on the Yield Vault you want to deposit funds into.
  3. Click the Deposit button. This will open the deposit interface for your selected Yield Vault.
  4. Enter your deposit amount. Type the amount you want to deposit, or click the Max button to deposit your entire available balance from your main Peak Money wallet.
  5. Review your transfer details. Click Continue to view your Transfer Summary, which shows the deposit amount and destination Yield Vault.
  6. Confirm your deposit. Click the Deposit button to confirm and complete the transfer from your main Peak Money wallet into the Yield Vault.
  7. Verify your deposit. Your deposited funds will now appear in the Strategy Balance for your selected Yield Vault, and those funds will begin earning interest according to that vault's rate.

Note: If you see an error that says "Your deposit didn't go through. Our slippage protection prevented this transaction to ensure your investment is safe," no funds were lost and no fee was charged. Try depositing a smaller amount or waiting a few minutes before retrying. Peak Money is in early access beta and the team is actively working to make large deposits go through more reliably.

Exiting/Withdrawing Funds from a Yield Vault

To withdraw funds from a Yield Vault back to your main Peak Money wallet, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Yield Vault containing your funds. From your Peak Money dashboard, click on the Yield Vault you want to withdraw funds from.
  2. Click the Withdraw button. This will open the withdrawal interface for your selected Yield Vault.
  3. Enter your withdrawal amount. Type the amount you want to withdraw, or click the Max button to withdraw your entire balance from that Yield Vault.
  4. Confirm your withdrawal. Click the Confirm button to complete the transfer from your Yield Vault back to your main Peak Money wallet.

Important: When you withdraw funds from a Yield Vault, those funds are transferred back into your main Peak Money wallet. Once the withdrawal is complete, the withdrawn funds will stop earning the interest rate associated with that Yield Vault strategy. The funds will remain in your main Peak Money wallet until you deposit them into another strategy or withdraw them from Peak Money entirely.
